Seashell – Outdoor Multilevel Seating Area

The project is an art installation that also serves as a multilevel seating area/playground. It is composed of ramps and ladders made up of wooden planks and steel. There are 2 main levels of seating; the higher seating area is circumscribed by rubber flooring underneath.

This project’s form is inspired by the spiral section of a seashell (viewed in horizontal position). The materials and concept is inspired by Paul Cocksedges’ “Please be seated” – a wooden plank and steel art installation that also serves as a seating area.
